SURF SPECIFIC APNEA TRAINING

WIPEOUT WISDOM

Improve your response when dealing with ocean curveballs. This land-based workshop dives into how to take control by using your breath.

Learn how to breathe before you paddle out, how to recover after coming up, and how to override panic when the ocean gets wild. A powerful session for any level of surfer.

BUILDING CONFIDENCE UNDER WATER

Learn how to stay calm, hold your breath longer, and move through wipeouts with clarity and control.

Through freediving techniques, dryland breathwork, and pool training, we teach you how you can build confidence and meet the ocean with ease.

  • We freedive in Gerupuk Bay, right in front of the surf camp. The exact spot depends on the conditions of the day: swell, wind, visibility, and currents. We always choose the safest and most enjoyable location based on what the ocean is up to that day. Pool sessions will be held at the InLight pool a short walk from our base.

  • If you’re staying at the surf camp, you’ll get access to our surf-specific apnea workshops and breath-control training as part of the camp program.

    If you’d like to go deeper into freediving, full freediving courses are planned on camp days off or after the camp ends. Just ask us about the options, we’re happy to help you extend your stay and freedive with us.

  • Right next to the surf camp you’ll find BABAS — our a-la-carte restaurant serving great coffee, nourishing meals, and plenty of snacks and juices. It’s an easy place to fuel up and hang out

  • Yes! we’re working on freediving trips, special training days, and combined surf & freedive experiences. Keep an eye on the website or Instagram for updates, more info coming soon…

  • If you’re traveling on, we can point you to trusted freediving communities and schools around Indonesia. For example, Nusa Penida offers breathtaking reef explorations and manta ray trips. We recommend our friends from Freediving Penida ( www.freedivingpenida.com) that offer the best experiences and the highest quality in that area. If you consider scuba diving in Nusa Penida - Pure Dive Resort (www.purediveresort.com) is the place to go for safe and professional experience.

  • Yes, freediving is a very safe and calm sport. We always check the conditions on the day (swell, wind, currents, visibility) and adapt the session accordingly. You’ll dive with caring, experienced instructors and clear safety procedures.

    If conditions aren’t suitable, we may reschedule to keep everyone safe. We’ll always try to fit your schedule. If rescheduling isn’t possible, you won’t be charged.
